In the image, the artist presents the narrative of the Amazon as the beating heart of the world. It references his Russian ancestry, with the star of life and death, and Orthodox cathedrals. Pixo letters mixed with ancestral rituals, various masks, devastated landscape, birds and an anthropomorphic figure.
About the artist
Turenko Beça is a visual artist, curator and educator in the city of Manaus. His works range from small rubber stamps to giant metal sculptures.
